Born in the suburbs of Paris in 1962,
he has lived and worked in the « Lot » since 2001.
No one can argue that his hunger for beauty comes from both the talent of his architect father and the memory of his Saharan geometrician grandfather. As as a young man, he forged his own path as a carpenter in both cabinet and furniture making. These 15 years, one by one, gave him both the know-how and replaced his hunger with a profound love for all that is beautiful.
"One morning in 1994, I watched as the snow seemed to freeze time and at that moment of timelessness, nature revealed herself to me. Her real forms began to emmerge. He true colors unveiled and danced before me as I have never seen them before. A living vibration in concrete matter. These truths evoked a feeling deep inside me that I have since referred to as " d'émotion esthétique" (aesthetic emotion).
This emotion took its own path in my veins and showed its face through my creations-- what I refer to as wall sculptures. To explain their elements, today I would say :
Tangled matters.
Mingling matters, opposites attract, appropiate,
appropriated junctions.
Hidden expression,
underlying meanings,
positive, negative space,
Superimposed masses.
Proportionate.
Sobriety. Humility. Rigour.
Harmony and disonance, coincidential.
Raw. Sophistication.
Interlocked elements.
Dualities kiss, Play.
Stimulate the sense.

I encounter this same emotion
in the powerful works of Andy Goldsworthy.
